This year, the Virginia ProStart Invitational (VPSI) is proud to introduce a new initiative that combines culinary education with community service. In partnership with the Virginia Poultry Federation, which has generously donated chickens for our competition, all meat prepared during the chicken fabrication event will be donated to Our Community Place (OCP) in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
OCP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building a safe, loving community of restoration and hope, especially for those facing homelessness and other adverse experiences. They operate a community center offering daily meals, recreational activities, meaningful work opportunities, and housing assistance.
